2009 Women’s Soccer Highlights

Philadelphia, PA- The 2009 Lady Ram's soccer season ended with a claim of the 2009 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) regular season championship.  The women finished the regular season 13-5-3 and a conference record of 10-2.  PhilaU fell in the CACC Tournament semifinals to eventual champion Holy Family 1-0.  Here some of the team's key contributors from the season:

Freshman forward Trisha Sileo (Islip, NY/Islip) was chosen CACC ‘Rookie of the Year' for her outstanding 2009 campaign.  Sileo recorded 14 goals, 4 assists and 74 shots this season giving her a total of 32 points.  She also had five game-winning goals and was selected to the 1st Team All-CACC.

Freshman goalkeeper Kelli Kowaleski (Shamong, NJ/Seneca) was selected to the 1st All-CACC after her impressive rookie season.  Kowaleski logged over 1,300 minutes in between the pipes this year posting a .60 GAA and 93 saves.

Senior defender Alyssa Kline (Southampton, NJ/Holy Cross) was named to the 2nd Team All-CACC.  Kline recorded one assist during the season and was a major force in the defense that only allowed 15 goals all year.

Sophomore forward Gabrielle Haden (Freehold, NJ/Colts Neck) had an excellent 2009 campaign for the Lady Rams recording 12 goals and four assists.  She was named to the CACC All-Tournament team for her efforts.
