PhilaU’s Mike Dunn, Jess Romano Earn First CACC Awards of New Year
Philadelphia, PA- Philadelphia University men's basketball senior guard Mike Dunn (Harrisburg, PA/ Central Dauphin) was named the first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) ‘Player of the Week' in 2009 after tying a CACC three-point record at Pace on December 22nd as he nailed 10 treys. Dunn finished that contest with 32 points and five rebounds and averaged 55% from beyond the arc in the Ram's last three games.
Women's basketball junior center Jess Romano (Horsham, PA/ Hatboro-Horsham) also garnered CACC attention, netting a CACC Honorable Mention nod for her holiday performances that including breaking the PhilaU 1,000 point mark in a 21 point/10 rebound game vs. Millersville. Romano is currently second in the conference in scoring (19.5ppg) and third in rebounding (9.9 rpg).
