CACC Awards: Four Phila U. Athletes Earn Weekly Honors
Philadelphia, PA- Four Philadelphia University student-athletes picked up Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) honors as the fall seasons begin to wind down.
The week was headlined by the Lady Ram's tennis squad winning the CACC Team Championship. CACC Player of the Year sophomore Daniela Rodriguez (Quito, Ecuador/Colegio Menor) earned CACC Player of the Week accolades for her performance, as sophomore teammate Adriana Rodriguez (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Colegio Sagrados Corazones) was named CACC Honorable Mention.
Women's soccer sophomore Sara Redka (Williamsport, PA/ Williamsport Area) earned CACC Honorable Mention after scoring the game-winner in a 1-0 victory over Holy Family. She knocked in another score in a 2-0 road win at Caldwell. The Lady Rams are currently #1 team in the CACC and the only undefeated squad.
Volleyball senior Katie Miller (Elkton, MD/ Rising Sun) took the CACC Honorable Mention award this week after averaging 3.43 digs and 2.71 kills in a 1-1 stretch for the Lady Rams, who currently sit in third-place in the South Division.
