CACC Awards: Two PhilaU Athletes Earn Weekly Honors
Philadelphia, PA- Two Philadelphia University student-athletes have been named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Honorable Mention for the week ending on Sunday, November 2nd.
Women's soccer senior forward Brianna Reinford (Gilbertsville, PA/ Pottsgrove) scored two goals and one assist, including the game-winner over Goldey-Beacom which clinched the CACC regular season title for the Lady Rams. The PhilaU squad won their quarterfinal match vs. Dominican 3-2 (game-winner scored by Reinford) and will play in the semifinals on Wednesday (11/5) vs. Holy Family at 12:00 p.m. at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.
Men's soccer junior defender Robert Richardson (Warwick, RI/ Berkeley Institute) scored both the game-tying and game-winning goals in a 3-2 upset over Bloomfield. The Rams wrapped up their season with a 1-0 win over Lincoln University.
