PhilaUs Hoops Players Romano, Ingram Earn CACC Weekly Prize
Philadelphia, PA- Philadelphia University women's basketball junior center Jess Romano (Horsham, PA/ Hatboro-Horsham) was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) ‘Player of the Week', while PhilaU men's hoopster Malcolm Ingram (Philadelphia, PA/ Solebury Prep) earned weekly honorable mention.
Romano averaged 22.5 ppg/ 15.5 rpg this week, including a career-high 20 rebounds vs. Bloomfield. She is currently the CACC's leading rebounder, averaging 11.1 rpg for the season. The PhilaU women sit in second-place in the CACC South Division (15-7, 10-3 CACC) and will close out their regular season home-stand with three games at the Gallagher Athletic Center this week.
Ingram averaged 24.0 ppg/11.0 rpg last week as the Ram's suffered their first two conference losses of the season. He currently leads the CACC in rebounding this season (8.9 rpg) and is seventh in scoring (16.2 ppg). The Ram's are atop the CACC South Division, holding a 16-5, 8-2 CACC record.
