CACC Basketball Championships Today
Philadelphia, PA- Both the Philadelphia University men's and women's basketball teams will face off in the CACC Basketball Championships today, Saturday March 7th in the Gallagher Athletic Center on Herb Magee Court.
The women tip-off at 4 p.m. vs. Wilmington University, while the men face Bloomfield College at 7 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for students and children.
A win for the men would push head coach Herb Magee past legendary UNC-Chapel Hill coach Dean Smith's record (which he tied last night in the CACC semifinals with 879 wins) and put him at #3 on the list of all-time wins.
Fans can also listen for free, or watch a live video-stream for a $5.95.
Winners of the CACC Championship games will advance to the NCAA Regionals. The women's regionals will be held 3/13, 3/14 and 3/16 at sites TBD. Women's NCAA Elite Eight will be held at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas on 3/24, 3/25 and 3/27.
The men's regionals will be held 3/14/, 3/15 and 3/17 at sites TBD. Men's Elite Eight will be held at American International College and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts on 3/25, 3/26, 3/28.
