Philadelphia, PA- Freshman right hander Ali Schmidt (Cordova, MD/Easton) is this week's PhilaU Athlete of the Week.

With a couple of dominating performances this past week, Schmidt was tabbed ECAC Co-Pitcher of the Week and CACC Pitcher and Rookie of the Week.

In three appearances this week, Schmidt compiled 17.0 innings, throwing two complete games. She surrendered just 10 hits, allowing only three earned runs and striking out 23 while holding teams to a .169 batting average.

For the season, she has registered 12 wins, with an ERA of 2.47. She has struck out a CACC second-best 175 hitters over 120.1 innings pitched.
