2008 Fall Highlights
The 2008 fall season came to a close with the Rams finishing with an 11-6-3 overall record, 6-3-1 in the CACC. The season was highlighted by wins over NCAA Division I Army and a CACC 3-2 upset of Bloomfield College. The following includes highlights of the top Ram contributors this season:
Senior goalkeeper Charles Custer was named to the CACC All-Conference 1st Team after registering 125 saves on the year and a .828 save percentage. He allowed 26 goals for a 1.28 goals against average. With Custer in goal, the Rams held six opponents scoreless.
Junior defender Robert Richardson earned CACC All-Conference Second Team accolades due to his on-field prowess. He registered three goals on the year, including two game winners, with two scores coming in a 3-2 upset win over Bloomfield College.
Junior midfielder Svetozar Gladic earned CACC All-Conference Second Team after registering a team high 12 goals on the year, tallying 26 points. The Sacred Heart transfer earned CACC and ECAC Player of the Week accolades during the year.
Senior midfielder Rocco Avallone registered one goal and two assists in his final season for the Rams. He had six career points while playing 54 games, including 32 starts.
