Four PhilaU Volleyballers Take All-Conference Accolades

Philadelphia- Four Philadelphia University volleyball student athletes have earned All-Conference accolades for their outstanding season. 

Senior outside-hitter Celena Rendon (San Antonio, TX/Tom C. Clark) has been named the 2009 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) ‘Player of the Year' in balloting, released today.  She was also picked for the CACC All-Conference 1st Team.  Senior middle-hitter Nicole Berkstresser (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) was also selected to the CACC All-Conference 1st Team. 

Senior defensive specialist Natalie Amodei (West Chester, PA/Bishop Shanahan) was selected CACC All-Conference 2nd Team.  Amodei had an excellent defensive season recording 338 digs.  Senior middle hitter Molly Malone (Rochester, NY/Gates Chili) was named CACC All-Conference ‘Honorable Mention' for her efforts this season.  Malone made school history by recording her 500th block this year. 

In their final season as Lady Rams, Rendon and Berkstresser combined to compile a total of 510 kills and 415 digs.
