Romano, Frederick take CACC Weekly Honors

Philadelphia, PA- Two Philadelphia University student-athletes earned accolades for their performances last week, highlighted by senior center Jessica Romano (Horsham, PA/ Hatboro-Horsham) who was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) ‘Player of the Week'.

Romano scored 30 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and had three assists in the Lady Rams season opener, a 67-66 victory over NYIT.  She also had one block and one steal in the game.

Senior guard Russell Frederick (Baltimore, MD/ Calvert Hall) was named ‘Honorable Mention' for his efforts in the Disney Tip-off Tournament in which he averaged 19 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists.
