CACC Weekly Awards Spring Ahead

Philadelphia, PA- The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) honored three Philadelphia University student-athletes this week, including the first spring competitor. 

Women’s lacrosse sophomore midfielder Caribeth Shappell (Lancaster, PA/ Cocalico) earned ‘Honorable Mention’ accolades for her performance in the first contest of the year, a 14-13 loss to St. Anselm College.  In that game, Shappell notched seven points (5 G, 2 A) to keep her squad within reach. 

Basketball seniors Jessica Romano (Horsham, PA/ Hatboro-Horsham) and Malcolm Ingram (Philadelphia, PA/ Solebury Prep) also earned ‘Honorable Mention’ nods after leading their respective teams in the CACC Tournament.  Ingram was also named to the CACC All-Tournament Team.
