CACC Announces Winter All-Academic Team

New Haven, CT- The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) has announced its All-Academic team for the 2009-10 winter athletic season today. A total of 34 student-athletes among the 14 conference schools earned a place on the list.

Five student-athletes were named to the team for the third time in their careers, including first team All-Conference pick Malcolm Ingram of the Philadelphia University men’s basketball team, and Lady Ram first team performer, Jessica Romano. Eleven others were repeat selections, including the 2009-10 CACC Women’s Basketball Player of the Year, Amelia Simmons of Wilmington University.

Men's basketball senior Mike Yocum also made the list.

In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic team, recipients must have participated in a winter CACC Championship sport, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student at their current school for at least two semesters, and achieve a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher.
