Three PhilaU Athletic Administrators Promoted
Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University Athletic Department will be under-going some changes to begin over the summer '09 as three administrators will begin new or elevated roles within the department. The changes reflect the new role current Associate Athletic Director/Senior Women's Administrator (SWA) Lynn Tubman will take on beginning July 1st as the Athletic Director at Chestnut Hill College.
Sarah Punderson- current Assistant Athletic Director/Sports Information Director will take on the title of SWA upon Tubman's departure. Stephanie Spada, current Fitness Monitor/Recreation Specialist will be promoted to NCAA Compliance & Community Engagement Coordinator. She will oversee all compliance issues and take charge of the department's community engagement activities and events.
Erin Pletcher, current Assistant Athletic Trainer, will also become the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) Coordinator. The main focus of SAAC is to provide input on rules, regulations and policies that affect student-athletes at NCAA member institutions. Pletcher will oversee monthly SAAC meetings held on campus throughout the year and the annual CACC conference. She will also be involved in the selection of PhilaU student-athletes to participate in a yearly NCAA conference.
