Simonetti Leads Pack in CACC Weekly Awards

Philadelphia, PA- Four Philadelphia University student-athletes were honored by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) in this week's award list.  Sophomore female runner Sarah Simonetti (Perkasie, PA/ Pennridge) highlighted the awards as it was her third-straight week to be the ‘Runner of the Week'

Simonetti helped her Lady Rams to the team title at the Philadelphia Metro Championships this weekend in 19:26.68.  Fellow sophomore Anjelica DiNucci (Baltimore, MD/ Dulaney) earned her first-ever ‘Honorable Mention' this week as she was right behind Simonetti in second-place (19:54).  Also grabbing ‘Honorable Mention' was men's senior runner Shawn D'Andrea (Blackwood, NJ/ Paul VI) who finished second in the men's 8K (26:34) to help his squad to their first team win this week.

Men's soccer sophomore Ian Martin (Beachwood, NJ/ Toms River South) picked up his first ‘Honorable Mention' nod this week after scoring a hat trick in a win over Goldey-Beacom.
