Summer Brings Changes to Athletic Department

Philadelphia, PA-  With less than a month until fall student-athletes return to Henry Ave and Schoolhouse Lane for preseason workouts, the summer is well underway in the Philadelphia University Athletic Department.  Changes are happening, and some of them are highlighted below:

The Athletic website- www.philaurams.com gets a new look, featuring a three-story rotator to give fans easier access to top stories.

Two new head coaches join the Ram staff, including: Mark Jackson (baseball) and Joe Martin (golf). 

Several new assistant coaches also join the ranks including: Dick DeLaney and Dave Caporaletti (men's basketball), Jean-Marie Torpey and Mark Brady (women's basketball) and Charles Goods (tennis). 

New administrative changes include the promotion of Stephanie Spada to Coordinator of NCAA Compliance/Community Engagement, athletic trainer Erin Pletcher will take over the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and Assistant Athletic Director Sarah Punderson will additionally become the Senior Woman Administrator (SWA).  Additionally, graduate student and men's soccer goalie Buddy Custer will become the new Sports Information graduate assistant. 

The Athletic Department wishes the best of luck to former employees: Lynn Tubman (currently the Athletic Director at Chestnut Hill College) and Paul Stadelberger (currently the Women's Basketball Head Coach at the University of the Sciences).
