CACC Weeklies: Six Awards to PhilaU
Philadelphia, PA- Six Philadelphia University fall student-athletes earned conference honors this week, including several freshmen.
The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) honored volleyball rookie outside-hitter Leanna Lillge for the fourth time this season as ‘Rookie of the Week’. Lillge averaged 3.45 kills/4.18 digs in a 2-1 week for the Rams. She tallied 21 kills vs. Millersville.
Men’s soccer freshman forward Mark Holman grabbed his second ‘Rookie of the Week’ honor as he collected five points on the week with two goals and an assist. He assisted on the game-winner vs. Concordia.
Women’s tennis first-year #1 singles player Isabella Espinosa grabbed her second ‘Rookie of the Week’ award as she posted a 3-0 singles and 3-0 doubles record on the week, helping the Rams to their longest winning streak of the season.
Also receiving ‘Honorable Mention’ accolades were: women’s tennis junior Brittany Villa, women’s cross country junior Sarah Simonetti and volleyball sophomore Danielle Carney.
