New Haven, CT- Philadelphia University basketball players Corey Francisco and Christine Wooding each earned Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) ‘Player of the Week’ honorable mention accolades today as announced by CACC Assistant Commissioner Kirk Reed.
Francisco, a junior guard/forward on the men’s team, averaged 20.3 ppg/9.0 rpg in a 2-1 week for the Rams. He notched a career-high 28 points in a win over Holy Family (and went 6-8 from the three-point line).
Wooding, a junior forward for the women’s squad, helped herself to 16 ppg this past week, along with 6.5 rpg and 4.5 blocks/game. She tallied 18 points vs. Bloomfield and is currently second-best on the Ram roster in scoring with 13 ppg on the season.
