PhilaU Names Three Runners to USTFCCCA All-Academic

NEW ORLEANS-  The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) named the Philadelphia University women’s and men's cross country team as well as three men’s and women’s Ram runners as national All- Academic honorees.

Junior women Anjelica DiNucci and Sarah Simonetti along with men’s junior runner Tyler Dye were recognized for their individual accomplishments by the USTFCCCA, all three for the second consecutive year. 

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team in Division II, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or greater through the most-recent semester, completed at least 12 credit hours in the semester of cross country competition, and placed in the top 50 percent at the most recent NCAA National Championships or in the top 30 percent at the NCAA Regional Championships.

Simonetti ended the 2010 season placing ninth at NCAA East Regionals in Boston, garnering NCAA East All-Region team honors.  Both DiNucci and Dye were named CACC All-Conference in 2010.
