Spring Break Recaps for Softball, Baseball and Men’s Tennis (3/13)

Philadelphia, PA- Three Philadelphia University teams competed in two contests each in Florida today (3/13).  The following is a brief recap, and statistics will be TBD. 

Men’s tennis cleaned house in their opening day in Orlando, Florida- securing a 6-2 win over Tiffin in the morning and then clinching a 5-4 victory over Stonehill as #5 singles player Eric Guerrero won the deciding point. 

Softball fell to UMass-Lowell 10-1 in their first match-up, but didn’t waste time in searching for a win as they knocked out the University of Bridgeport 9-0 in the nightcap. 

Baseball lost two close ones, the first was a 9-8 loss to Pace University, and then a 5-1 disappointing 12 inning loss to UMass Lowell.  In the extra inning game, the score was tied 1-1 until the final square.
