NEW HAVEN, Conn. (June 14, 2010) – The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) has announced its All-Academic team for the 2011 spring athletic season today. A total of 100 student-athletes among the 14 conference schools earned a place on the list, which is seven more than 2010.  PhilaU had nine athletes make the cut.

"It's not only a great accomplishment to excel on the athletic field, but also to shine in the classroom- I couldn't be prouder of our 10 student-athletes on this list,” said PhilaU  Coordinator of NCAA Compliance & Community Engagement Stephanie Spada.

Twelve CACC student-athletes were named to the team for the third time in their careers, while a total of 28 were honored for the second time.

In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic team, recipients must have participated in a spring CACC Championship sport, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student at their current school for at least two semesters, and achieve a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher.
