Philadelphia, PA- Seven Philadelphia University fall student-athletes have been tabbed by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) for weekly honors.
PhilaU took home three CACC ‘Player of the Week’ awards, highlighted by women’s soccer junior forward Trisha Sileo, who notched seven points on the week as her Rams outscored opponents 9-0 over two games. Sileo had both game-winners in wins over Goldey-Beacom and Concordia.
Men’s soccer senior forward Ryan Purnell earned ‘Player of the Week’ after notching three goals and an assist, while women’s cross country senior Sarah Simonetti earned the same award as she ran to a fifth-place finish at the Fordham Fiasco.
On the heels of Simonetti, cross country freshman Taylor Falvey was awarded ‘Rookie of the Week’ for the second week in a row after taking 18th at Fordham.
CACC weekly ‘Honorable Mentions went to PhilaU men’s cross country rookie Tim Malloy (20th-place at Fordham) and volleyball junior Brittany Olson (2.44 kills/set on the week).
