PhilaU Athletics Takes Part In Day of Service 2011

Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University Athletic Department participated in the fourth annual Day of Service earlier today.
The men’s basketball team traveled to IHM Catholic School in Philadelphia, PA to teach students fundamentals of the game and participate with them in various fun activities.
PhilaU's women’s basketball team went to Holy Child Catholic School in Philadelphia, PA earlier today to help kindergarten and first grade students with activities around the classroom.
The Women’s softball team made their way to ‘Henry Got Crops’ farm just outside of campus, where they took part in various tasks assigned to them.
The men’s and women’s tennis teams ventured out to St. Bridget’s School in Philadelphia, PA to talk to the students about the adventures of being a college athlete. The teams also shared stories about sports and physical education.
PhilaU’s golf team made their way to Walnut Lane Golf Course just outside of campus to assist in maintenance of the course.
Later tonight, PhilaU’s men’s baseball team will travel to Northern Home for Children in Philadelphia, PA to participate in activities with the children there and help with tutoring.
