XC, Soccer Take First CACC Weekly Awards for the Fall

Philadelphia, PA- Five Philadelphia University fall student-athletes have been honored by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) in their weekly awards.

PhilaU men’s cross country rookie Tim Malloy received his first ‘Rookie of the Week’ nod after finishing second overall in the 2011 Delaware Valley College Invitational, leading the Rams to the title.

 PhilaU women’s cross country senior Gabrielle Dei Tos received ‘Runner of the Week’ for placing first overall in the DVC Invitational, leading PhilaU to the title as well. Freshman Taylor Falvey was awarded ‘Rookie of the Week’ for finishing second overall.

 Also receiving ‘Honorable Mention’ were men’s cross country junior runner Kip Kirui and women’s soccer sophomore midfieler Janine Cascio.
