In the opening round of the 1998 NCAA tournament, Sortino helped lead the Lady Rams to a 63-59 victory over nationally-ranked Stonehill College. Trinh, the recipient of the 2003 and 2005 Philadelphia University Athletic Achievement Award, played on the women’s lacrosse and soccer teams. On the lacrosse field, Trinh was a two-time Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association All-American, receiving second team recognition in 2004 and 2005. She earned first team all-America status from Inside Lacrosse and womenslacrosse.com as a senior.  Trinh ranks seventh in career assists (37) and eighth in career goals (104) and points (141). A back/midfielder for the soccer team, Trinh tallied 10 goals, three assists and 23 points.

During that championship season, which was McGilvery’s senior year, he led the team with 19.5 points and 13.3 rebounds per game. His 412 rebounds are the third most in a single season. As the team’s sixth man in his junior season, McGilvery averaged 13.8 points and 10.1 rebounds a game. In his career McGilvery netted 1,101 points to place him 39th on the school’s all-time scoring list.

In his freshman season, Wolanin was the pitcher of record in four of the team’s five wins, including the school’s first-ever win against a major public university—a 2-1 win over Rutgers. He led the pitching staff in strikeouts in two of his three seasons. Wolanin also played on the Rams’ basketball team. In 2010 Wolanin received Philadelphia University’s Lifetime Innovation Award.

Netzel has been with Philadelphia University for 32 years and has been a part of the athletic department’s transformation. When Netzel started at Philadelphia U. back in 1979, he maintained Alumni Field, which was the home of the baseball, field hockey and soccer teams. Now he is responsible for making sure that the softball, Alumni and Ravenhill Fields meet NCAA regulations. Netzel was also instrumental in improving the irrigation and water drainage systems at Ravenhill Field.
