Philadelphia Athletics to Host High School Basketball Doubleheader on Dec. 11

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Philadelphia University department of athletics is partnering with Philadelphia sports personality Don Tollefson and Winning Ways Education for a “Celebrate the Children” high school basketball doubleheader Sunday, Dec. 11 in the Gallagher Athletic Center on the Philadelphia University campus.

The twinbill tips off at 1 p.m. with a showdown between Prep Charter and Mastery Charter. West Catholic and John Bartram take the court at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets for a great day of Philadelphia high school basketball are $7 for adults and $5 for students with ID.

During the course of the day there will be numerous giveaways and raffles for prizes from the Phillies, Eagles, 76ers, and Flyers and a silent auction for great VIP sports trips and autographed memorabilia.

All proceeds from the doubleheader, raffles and silent auction will benefit underprivileged children and the Winning Ways Education career programs. Winning Ways Education is focused on getting disadvantaged young people into positive career paths through in-school curriculum, after-school programs and unique career strategies.
