This Week in Ram Athletics: Jan. 9-Jan. 15

Men’s Basketball

This Week: The Rams (9-4, 5-0 CACC) have the week off before going to Chestnut Hill for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest on Monday, Jan 16 at 8 p.m.

Last Week: Philadelphia extended its winning streak to five games after defeating Holy Family (68-65) and Post (86-75) Temi Adebayo netted a career-high 29 points in the win over the Tigers. Jim Connolly recorded a season-high 35 points to help the Rams defeat Post.

Need to Know: Connolly’s 35 points are the most by a player in the CACC this season.

Women’s Basketball

This Week: The Lady Rams (8-4, 3-1 CACC) travel to Lakewood for a CACC showdown at Georgian Court University Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 6 p.m. Philadelphia won the first meeting on Dec. 6, 71-53, at the Gallagher Center.

Last Week: Philadelphia took the top spot in the CACC’s southern division after knocking off Holy Family (69-57) and Post (79-73). Taylor Peltzer poured in a career-high 19 points in the win over Holy Family. Christine Wooding scored 25 points and Kristen Blye had 18 points and 11 rebounds against Post.

Need to Know: The win over Holy Family is Philadelphia’s first win against the Tigers since joining the CACC in 2005.
