This Week in Ram Athletics: Jan. 30-Feb. 5
Men’s Basketball
Last Week: The Rams 12-6, 7-2 CACC) were defeated by conference opponents Goldey-Beacom (65-54) and Caldwell (62-61). Corey Francisco led Philadelphia with 15 points against the Lightning and Jim Connolly scored 21 points at Caldwell.
This Week: Philadelphia travels to Delaware
for a rematch against Wilmington on Tuesday night. The Rams won the
first meeting, 76-66 on Dec. 3 in Philadelphia. On Saturday
Concordia (N.Y.) comes to the Gallagher Center.
Need to Know: Guard Jim Connolly needs 65
points to become the program’s 44th 1,000-point
scorer.
Women’s
Basketball
Last Week: Philadelphia (15-5, 9-2 CACC) was edged out by Goldey-Beacom, 83-80 in overtime Tuesday night. The Lady Rams rebounded by defeating Caldwell, 83-80 on Saturday. Stephanie Agger scored her 1,000th-career point in the loss to the Lightning.
This Week: Philadelphia pays a visit to
Wilmington (Del.) on Tuesday night. The Lady Rams were victorious
in their first meeting of the year, 87-49 on Dec. 3. The team
returns home to face Concordia (N.Y.) on Saturday afternoon.
Need to Know: Philadelphia’s magic
number to clinch a spot in the CACC Tournament is three. The Lady
Rams can lock-up a spot as early as Saturday.
