Athlete of the Week: Shawn D'Andrea

Philadelphia, PA- Philadelphia University junior Shawn D'Andrea (Blackwood, NJ/ Paul VII) has been selected as the Athlete of the Week after being named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Runner of the Week for the third straight week.

D'Andrea won the men's 8K in 26:38.90 at the Belmont Classic over the past weekend (9/27/08) in Philadelphia.  He has dominated the conference awards as he has won runner of the week honors three weeks in a row now after placing third at the Philadelphia Metro Championship (team first-place finish), and taking the title at the Wilmington Invitational in a new meet and course record.
