Jess Romano Tabbed WBCA Honorable Mention
Junior center Jess Romano (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) was named Division II Player of the Month 'Honorable Mention' for the second time this year by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association for her performance in March. She also earned this honor for the month of December.
For the year, Romano averaged 18.4 points and 11 rebounds per game while playing 33.9 minutes a game. She also shot 48% from the field and 83.4% from the charity stripe, which was amoung the best in the country.
She was a two-time CACC Player of the Week and three-time Honrable Mention, was named ECAC Co-Player of the Week and was the CACC All-Tournament MVP after leading the Lady Rams to the CACC Championship and a berth into the NCAA Tournament. The Lady Rams fell to eventual national runner-up Franklin Pierce in the NCAA East Regional first-round game.
