Friday Action at CACC Tournament Postponed

The Friday afternoon games of the 2008 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament have been postponed due to heavy rain and play will resume on Saturday, May 10th.  Top-seeded Philadelphia University will meet #2 seed Caldwell College in the first game of the day on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Frawley Stadium, the home of the Wilmington Blue Rocks, in a winners bracket game.

The loser of the Philadelphia University-Caldwell contest will then play at 3:30 p.m. at Wilson Field in an elimination game with the winner moving on to the final day of the tournament on Sunday, May 11th.  The first game on Sunday is slated for 11:00 a.m. at Wilson Field with the second contest, if necessary, scheduled to follow immediately at Wilson Field.

Head Coach Mark Heineman's team advanced to the winners bracket with a 13-0 victory over Felician College in first-round action on Thursday, May 8th.  Freshman right hander Jared Farbman (pictured) went the distance, allowing just five hits while striking out ten in the complete-game shutout as he improves to 6-0 on the season.
