Baseball Splits Their Doubleheader With Concordia

Philadelphia, PA-  The Philadelphia University team (7-12, 6-5 CACC) split their conference games today at Concordia College losing the first game 4-5 and winning the second game 8-2.

In the first game, senior Tyler Mentzer (Gettysburg, PA/Delone Catholic H.S.) had the both runs for the Rams.  Kevin McGovern (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Ryan) pitched the first 10 innings, with senior Brian Rousseau (Wantagh, NY/Wantagh H.S.) relieving him in the 11th inning.

In the second game Dan Hennigan (Downingtown, PA/Downingtown West H.S.) went three for three and scored three of the eight runs.  With Jared Farbman (Philadelphia, PA/Central H.S.) getting the win on the mound for the team.

The Rams will pick up play on Monday (4/12) at home against Kutztown University with a 3:30 p.m. start time.
