Rams Fall To Neighbors, Chestnut Hill College 8-5
Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University baseball team (8-13, 6-6 CACC) lost to Chestnut Hill College (11-13, 9-4 CACC) Wednesday afternoon (4/14) 8-5.
The Griffins saw four different pitchers at the mound from the Rams. Defensively sophomore outfielder Joe Thayres (Thorofare, NJ/West Deptford) had six putouts at center field and freshman infielder Jeff Bohus (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) had 12 playing first base.
Offensively the team had six hits compared to CHC’s 13. Leading at bat was heavy hitter junior infielder Anthony DiFrancesco (Landenberg, PA/Salesianum) who was two for four on the day, with two runs and two RBIs.
The Rams will face Wilmington University this Friday (4/16), for their make-up game, at home, Alumni Field, starting at 3:00 p.m.
