Former PhilaU Baseball Player Diagnosed with Leukemia, Needs Donors
October
22nd Event
Donation Letter
Philadelphia, PA- There are two ways coming up to help PhilaU former baseball player Kyle Noonan '09 with his battle with leukemia:
On October 22, 2009 in the Kanbar Performance Space there will be a Deutsche Knochenmarkspenderdatei (German for Bone Marrow Donor Center) DKMS bone marrow drive from 11 AM to 4 PM. At the drive, we will register potential bone marrow donors who can save the lives of patients like Kyle who are battling leukemia and other blood cancers. Thanks to the PhilaU baseball team for organizing the event.
This weekend, September 19, 2009 in Morristown, NJ, Kyle's hometown, there will be a separate DKMS organized bone marrow drive at the Woodland School also from 10AM to 4PM.
Since DKMS does not receive government funding, they are solely dependent on donations from corporations, private foundations and the general public to support our life-saving work. With a financial contribution, you can support DKMS and thus help to increase the chance of survival for Kyle and many other patients like him.
