Philadelphia, PA- Philadelphia University Athletic Director Tom Shirley continued the Athletic Department's tradition of honoring coaches for their first PhilaU win today with a plaque for first-year men's baseball Head Coach Pat Horvath, winning his first NCAA game on March 15th in a 6-5 victory over St. Michael's College in West Palm Beach, FL.
Coach Horvath led his team to their first victory while on the annual Florida spring break trip against St. Michael's College, 6-5. A graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University, Horvath came to PhilaU after spending the 2009-10 season as an assistant coach at NCAA DI Rider University.
Coach Horvath won 19 games as the head coach at NAIA institution San Diego Christian College (SDCC) in his single season there.
Horvath looks to improve the Ram's record of 2-14, 1-3 CACC as they continue their regular season.
