Rutherford, NJ- The Philadelphia University baseball team (4-28, 2-14 CACC) took two losses at Felician College (22-20, 9-9 CACC) Tuesday afternoon. Senior shortstop Anthony DiFrancesco nabbed his fourth homerun of the season in the fifth inning of game two.
In game one, PhilaU was unable to produce runs from the eight hits at the plate. FC had eleven hits in the game. Sophomore first baseman Kevin Gibbs went 3-4 on the day. Sophomore utility Jeffrey Bohus and freshman centerfielder Rick Reigner each claimed two hits as well.
Pitching for FC was Hauber with the win. Freshman Don Bradley worked seven innings for the maroon and grey picking up three strikeouts.
The Rams got off to a good start in game two, as Reigner singled to the left side to allow sophomore outfielder Jordan Force to score after getting on second from a steal. Later in the fifth, DiFrancesco would send one deep into left field to bring the score to 4-2. The remainder of the game would be scoreless as each team would only gain one hit but leave the runners stranded.
On the mound for PhilaU was sophomore Russell Trojan striking out four. FC's Morris grabbed the win with Junger getting the save.
The Rams travel to Wilmington University for a CACC single game beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday (4/27).
