Peter J. Fischer enters his second season as an assistant coach for the Rams under Head Coach Pat Horvath.

Fischer is also currently the first base coach for the Philadelphia University Rams baseball team. He coaches hitters on the fundamentals of the game, and works mainly with outfielders and first baseman. Fischer is also instrumental with different recruiting and scouting techniques.

As the head instructor at the Marzano Baseball Academy, Fischer taught the fundamentals of hitting, throwing, speed and conditioning to students ages 9 through 17 in both group and individual settings. He also assisted in the start-up of the Marzano Scout League.

In 2005 Fischer was named All-CACC at Delaware County Community College. While attending Burlington County College in 2008 he was named Second-Team All-GSAC. 

A 2003 graduate of Roman Catholic High School, Fischer earned First-Team All-Catholic Honors and Third-Team All-City Honors in 2003. Also in 2003, Fischer was a member of the Philadelphia Phillies High School Scout Team. 

Fischer served in the United States Marines as a Lance Corporal in Operation Iraqi Freedom from March 2006 to October. He was honorably discharged from the military in May 2008. 

Fischer currently resides in Philadelphia, Pa., with his wife Amanda.
