Korber's Two Goals Not Enough as Lady Rams Fall 4-3 to Wilkes

Sophomore midfielder/forward Kaitlyn Korber (pictured) posted a career-high two goals for the Philadelphia University field hockey team, but it wasn't enough to prevent a 4-3 loss to visiting Wilkes University on Wednesday, October 3rd.  The setback leaves the Lady Rams with a 3-11 overall record while the Lady Colonels improves to 5-6 overall.

Korber put the Lady Rams on the board late in the first half with her first career collegiate goal at the 26:20 mark, adding a second tally less than a minute later.  Freshman midfielder Lynette Buck extended the Philadelphia University lead to 3-0 early in the second half, but Wilkes would score four unanswered goals in the second frame for the comeback victory.

Head Coach Christy Knab and her Lady Rams will look to get back on the winning track when they travel to Langhorne, Pa., on Thursday, October 11th, for a non-league contest with Philadelphia Biblical University.
