Field Hockey Ends on High Note in 4-2 Win over Seton Hill

Philadelphia, PA- In her final home game as a Lady Ram, senior forward Brooke Woodland (West Grove, PA/ Avon Grove) had three goals to lead the Philadelphia field hockey team (6-10) to a 4-2 romp over the Seton Hill Griffins (6-8) on Monday afternoon.

Woodland got the Lady Rams on the board 1-0 14 minutes into the first period, and the maroon and gray would hold the lead going into the half.

The Griffins responded with a score by Allegra Ramos just one minute into the second period, but Woodland scored twice in two minutes, including the eventual game-winner, to give the Lady Rams room to breathe at 3-1.

Sophomore Megan Stefanides (Kingston, PA/ Wyoming Valley West) would add an insurance goal with ten minutes left to play, but the Griffins would net one more- by Lauren Dorsch to make the final 4-2.

Senior goalie Anne Strobel (Middlebury, CT/ Pomperaug) had seven saves, while junior keeper Stivi Genca (Westmont, NJ/ Haddon Twp) had one stop for the Lady Rams.

Phila U. will end their season on the road at the defending national champion Bloomsburg University on Sunday, October 19th at 1:00 p.m.
