PhilaUs Brooke Woodland Named ECAC Field Hockey All-Star
Philadelphia, PA- Philadelphia University senior forward Brooke Woodland has been named to the 2008 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division II Field Hockey All-Star Team. Woodland was the only Philadelphia-area field hockey student-athlete to make the cut.
Woodland has garnered numerous accolades this year including being named the 2008 Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Field Hockey Performer of the Year and the National Field Hockey Coaches' Association (NFHCA) South All-Star Team. She is listed fourth and seventh in the NCAA Division II rankings in goals per game (1.07) and points in a season (32), respectively.
In 2008, Woodland led the Rams with 32 points, matching her own single-season school record with 15 goals and two assists.
She holds the Philadelphia University single-game record for points (9) and goals (4). She claimed All-America recognition from www.womensfieldhockey.com in 2005 and earned Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area distinction as a sophomore. She was a two-sport athlete at PhilaU, also playing four seasons for the Lady Rams lacrosse team.
