Lafayette Hill, PA- The Philadelphia University golf team won a tri-match at The Ace Club on Wednesday afternoon, accumulating a team score of 346 to beat the University of the Sciences (357) and Chestnut Hill College (393) in conference play.
Sophomore Stanley Chun (San Francisco, CA/ Palo Alto) shot a match-high 79 to finish first overall and lead the Rams to victory.
"I am really pleased with the progress we are making, the team is coming along nicely," said PhilaU Head Coach Joe Martin.
Fellow PhilaU rookies Ryan O'Donnell (Newtown Sq., PA/ Marple Newtown) followed with an 82 fo finish second, while Tim Gobrecht (Woodlyn, PA/ Ridley) shot 89 and Anthony Hopkins (Cherry Hill, NJ/ Cherry Hill East) added a 96 to complete the Ram scoring.
The golf team wraps up the fall season on Saturday (10/24) with their final match against LaSalle University and the University of the Sciences at The Ace Club, beginning at 1 p.m.
