Golf Opens Spring with a Win at Whitemarsh Country Club
Miquon, PA- The Philadelphia University golf team opened their 2010 slate with a tri-match win at Whitemarsh Country Club on Tuesday evening.
The Rams took first overall (333), while the University of the Sciences-Philadelphia (350) garnered second-place and host Chestnut Hill College (358) rounded up scoring in third.
PhilaU sophomore Ryan O’Donnell (Newtown Sq., PA/ Marple Newtown) had the low round of the day (80) to lead the Rams, while sophomore Stanley Chun (San Francisco, CA/ Palo Alto) and freshman Tim Gobrecht (Woodlyn, PA/ Ridley) shot 84’s.
Sophomore Brad Krohl (Clifton Park, NY/ Shenendehowa) recorded an 85 and freshman Brendan Murray (Beesleys Point, NJ/ St Augustine) shot an 87 to round out the maroon and gray’s performance.
Next up for the Rams will be a tri-match at their home course- The Ace Club on Saturday (3/27) vs. Neumann University and the University of the Sciences at noon.
