Golf Finishes Season in Ace Club Tri-Match
Lafayette Hill, PA- The Philadelphia University golf team completed the 2009-10 season today, finishing second in a match at The Ace Club, finishing just two strokes behind winner Felician College while Chestnut Hill College finished in third.
On an overcast and rainy afternoon, the Rams were led by sophomore Ryan O’Donnell’s (Newtown Sq., PA/ Marple Newtown) 79 which put him at second-place individually. Rookie Tim Gobrecht (Ridley, PA/ Woodlyn) secured a fourth-place finish after shooting an 84.
Other scorers for the Rams were sophomore Brendan Murray (Beesleys Point, NJ/ St. Augustine) with an 87 in sixth-place, and fellow second-year Brad Krohl Clifton Park, NY/ Shenendehowa) along with freshman Anthony Hopkins (Cherry Hill, NJ/ Cherry Hill East)-both shooting 89 for a seventh-place tie.
