Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University golf team capped their 2010-11 season with three straight first place finishes. This was the second season the team has played under Head Coach Joe Martin.
Highlights of the season include junior Ryan O'Donnell's tournament low score of 74 in a quad match at the Rolling Green Country Club where the Rams took second on March 28th. He then followed up by hitting a 75 two days later to take the top spot at the Neumann University Quad match.
The Rams began their winning drive on April 25th as O'Donnell once again led the squad shooting a 76 at The ACE Club where they beat Chestnut Hill College. The team then met once again at ACE on April 30th to face Chestnut Hill as well as Rowan University. This time junior Brad Krohl would be the overall low scorer with a 76 to lead the Rams to victory. The final match of the season on May 2nd went to the Rams as they topped CHC with O'Donnell in front shooting 69.
Other notable players for PhilaU in 2010-11 include junior Stanley Chun who tied for first place against University of the Sciences on October 23rd to lead PhilaU to victory. He swung for seventh place at the Immaculata Spring Invitational shooting a 79.
The team finished eighth in the Golf CACC Championship.
PhilaU golf will return to action on September 19th as they head to the Chestnut Hill 'Griffin' Invitational.
