Rams at the Palestra: Photo Gallery and related ESPN.com story

ESPN.com Page2 editor Kieran Darcy has published a feature recalling his days as a junior varsity basketball player at the University of Pennsylvania. This past weekend, the Philadelphia University men's basketball team opened their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC)season on Penn's campus at the Palestra, one of the most treasured arenas in all of the sport.

Darcy's article includes a memorable encounter he had at a summer camp with Rams' Head Coach Herb Magee. Darcy's essay (which ESPN posted here today) fondly recalls his memories of playing at the Palestra; combined with the Rams' 65-61 win this past Saturday at the same building, we have decided to post this photo gallery of the game vs. Wilmington, showing the Rams in action, coach Magee on the sideline and plenty of interior views of the venerable arena on South 33rd Street here in Philadelphia.
