Rams Receive Votes in NABC Preseason Poll

Kansas City, MO- The Philadelphia University men's basketball team has received votes in the 2008-09 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II Coaches' Poll.  The Rams were the only Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) team to receive votes in the national poll.

"Preseason rankings are nice, but they don't mean much.  We just need to play our game," said Rams Head Coach Herb Magee.   

PhilaU finished the 2007-08 season with a 22-12 overall record, 16-0 CACC.  The team has also received a #25 national ranking in the Division II Bulletin Preseason Poll, as well as a #1 preseason ranking in the CACC South Division. 

The Rams will kick-off the season on the road- a Saturday, November 15th game vs. St. Rose College at 2 p.m.  The game will be a rematch of the Ram's NCAA Tournament match-up.  They will host their home-opener on Wednesday, November 19th vs. the University of the District of Columbia at 7:00 p.m.
