Philadelphia, PA-  Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter will host a ceremony at City Hall on Tuesday (3/9) at 11 a.m. to honor Philadelphia University's legendary men's basketball Coach Herb Magee, who last month became the winningest NCAA coach of all time.  The event will take place in the Mayor's Reception Room, Room 202 in City Hall, Philadelphia PA.

Coach Magee, renowned as a coach, player and "shot doc" to top NBA stars, won his 903rd NCAA career game on Feb. 23, putting him in the record books and cementing his reputation as one of the top NCAA coaches of all time. Three days earlier, Magee's Rams earned win #902 to tie Bobby Knight's record.

A true Philadelphia legend, Coach Magee is finishing up his 50th year at Philadelphia University - as a top-scoring player, assistant and, for the last 43 years, head coach.
