Shippensburg, PA- Junior forward and team captain Corey Francisco paced his Philadelphia University Rams (2-2) to a 68-55 win over host Shippensburg University (1-2) on Saturday at the Wolf Line Bus Tournament with a game-high 20 points at Heiges Field House.
The Rams outshot SU 48%-41% from the floor, and hit 37% from three-point land.
Three-point shooting was improved from the Ram's last contest, as they sunk 40% in the first half, helped by sophomore guard Jim Connolly who tacked on 16 points and eight boards total.
PhilaU led 34-21 at the half.
Connolly and Francisco spurred the Rams on a 9-0 run to open the second period, taking a 43-24 lead at 16:58. Also in double digits was senior forward Ola Sasona, who racked up 14 points and four rebounds in 26 minutes. Junior center Temi Adebayo continued to fluster opponents in the paint, checking in with four blocks (along with five points and eight boards).
