Bloomfield, NJ- The Philadelphia University men's basketball team (13-9, 8-5 CACC) fell to Bloomfield College (15-7, 12-2 CACC) on Saturday afternoon on the road. The loss broke a PhilaU three-game winning streak.
PhilaU was led by sophomore guard Jim Connolly's 27 points, while BC's Gage Daye also notched 27 for his squad.
PhilaU trailed for all but a minute of the contest, getting double-digit scoring from three others including junior forward Corey Francisco (23 points), junior center Temi Adebayo (14 points, three blocks) and senior forward Ola Sasona (11 points, six boards.
The Rams were outshot from the field 58%-39%, while winning the battle at the free-throw line 90%-60%. The maroon and gray trailed 56-43 at the half.
In the second stanza, BC would lead by a game-high 22 points in securing the win.
PhilaU returns to action at home on Tuesday (2/15) vs. USci at 8 p.m.
