Men’s basketball announces its preseason exhibition schedule

PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia University men's basketball team released its preseason exhibition schedule for the 2012-13 season on Monday.

For the third straight year, the Rams kick off their exhibition season with a trip to James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. The game takes place on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 2 p.m. Last season, the Dukes defeated the Rams, 98-88, in the JMU Convocation.

The team will travel to University Park, Pa. on Saturday, Nov. 3 for a 4 p.m. tip against the Penn State University Nittany Lions and head coach Patrick Chambers, a 1994 graduate of Philadelphia University.  The game will be webcast on the Big Ten Network website www.btn.com.

The Rams' final preseason tune-up is a scrimmage at West Chester University on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 6 p.m.

All of the events are free to attend.

Philadelphia begins the regular season with a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest against the University of the Sciences Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 8 p.m.
