NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Philadelphia University sophomore forward Peter Alexis (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Holy Redeemer) was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) men's basketball co-player of the week by the conference office on Monday.
Alexis—who earned his second player of the week award this season—averaged 23.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks in a pair of Philadelphia victories. In the Rams' 85-63 road win over Georgian Court on Jan. 23, Alexis had a season-high 27 points, on 10‐of‐15 shooting, nine rebounds, and two blocks. Two days later, Alexis recorded 19 points, nine rebounds, four blocks, and three assists in a 72-57 triumph against Bloomfield.
This season, Alexis has 19.4 points per game, 9.7 rebounds per game, a 61.0 field goal percentage, and 29 blocks. In the CACC, he is ranked second in rebounding and field goal percentage, fourth in scoring, and eighth in blocks.
Philadelphia (14-5, 8-2 CACC) hosts Holy Family in a CACC contest for first place in the southern division on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 8 p.m.
